Motorcycling has always been about freedom, confidence, and the joy of mastering movement. Now, that same spirit is being thoughtfully reimagined for the youngest riders. VIDA powered by Hero MotoCorp, the emerging mobility brand from Hero MotoCorp, has unveiled the DIRT.E K3, an electric off-road motorcycle designed especially for children aged 4 to 10 years.
Priced at an introductory ₹69,990 for the first 300 units, the DIRT.E K3 is a carefully engineered gateway into the world of responsible, confident motorcycling.

One of the biggest challenges with children’s motorcycles is how quickly they are outgrown. The DIRT.E K3 tackles this head-on with a three-stage adjustable platform that seamlessly transforms between Small, Medium, and Large configurations using a single tool.
This means the bike evolves as the child grows, maintaining consistent ergonomics, comfort, and control over multiple years. Instead of frequent upgrades, young riders get continuity, allowing them to build strong fundamentals and long-term riding confidence.
Inspired by VIDA DIRT.E’s bold tagline, “Wild beyond the Ride,” the K3 marks the brand’s entry into the off-roading segment.
Its true off-road stance mirrors full-size dirt motorcycles, helping children learn correct posture and riding habits from day one. This attention to authenticity ensures that learning feels natural, intuitive, and fun, without compromising safety.
The electric drivetrain plays a key role here. With smooth, linear torque delivery, the K3 keeps acceleration predictable and manageable, making it ideal for early learners navigating mixed terrains.
Parents can further personalize the experience through app-enabled controls, setting speed limits, locking ride modes, and supervising early riding sessions with peace of mind.
The DIRT.E K3 is powered by a 350W continuous / 500W peak motor, paired with a 360Wh removable battery. Charging is refreshingly simple with no special installations required. The battery can be detached and charged indoors, reaching 0–100% in approximately three hours and delivering up to three hours of ride time depending on terrain and mode.
Thoughtful engineering details elevate everyday usability: a magnetic connector ensures secure alignment, while a sealed enclosure protects the battery from dust and moisture, allowing kids to ride confidently across changing weather and surfaces.
Learning is best when it’s gradual, and the DIRT.E K3 embraces this philosophy with three ride modes:
● Beginner – 8 km/h
● Amateur – 16 km/h
● Pro – 25 km/h
This progression helps children advance at their own pace. Complementing this are a 16-inch spoked wheel, a single rear hydraulic disc brake engineered to reduce front-wheel washout, and an adjustable frame that alters height and wheelbase across stages. The result is impressive control, durability, and confidence on varied off-road surfaces.
Safety is embedded into every detail of the DIRT.E K3. From an over-moulded wiring harness for durability to a child-scaled brake lever and impact-absorbing components, the motorcycle is designed to protect young riders at every step. A standout feature is the magnetic lanyard-based kill switch, which instantly cuts power if the rider gets separated from the bike—an essential reassurance for parents.
The DIRT.E K3 has been conceptualised and developed at Hero Tech Centre Germany (HTCG) and the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), Jaipur, combining global expertise with Indian innovation. Production takes place at Hero’s state-of-the-art green manufacturing facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, home to the VIDA electric vehicle line, ensuring world-class quality and sustainability.
As families explore new journeys, whether buying a child’s first e-motorcycle or planning future upgrades, trust matters.
That’s where Hero’s Wheels of Trust ecosystem fits in seamlessly, reinforcing confidence across every stage of ownership. From transparent processes to tools that help users check bike valuation online using a reliable bike value estimator, the experience remains reassuring, even beyond the first purchase.
Commenting on the launch, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer – Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, summed it up perfectly: DIRT.E K3 is about nurturing confident, responsible, and joyful exploration from the very beginning.
With the DIRT.E K3, VIDA is shaping the future of motorcycling, one young rider at a time.
